Comp4Kids of NY, Inc (aka: www.comp4kids.org) was founded by Great Neck Middle School science teacher Jon Zimmerman to help bridge the gap in the technological divide that exists on Long Island NY, as well as the rest of New York State.

Jon, graduated Rutgers College with a degree in Accounting.  Initially out of college Jon worked at various certified public accounting firms.  It was with the good fortune that Jon ended up working in the tax department of Cantor Fitzgerald, where he got his first taste of philanthropy working on the charitable foundations of its namesake.  From there Jon went on to work at several Wall Street firms including Drexel Burnham Lambert, Cowan & Co., Ladenburg Thalmann, and Raymond James.  At Ladenburg, Jon co-founded the minority owned investment firm Nubian Asset Management and served as it chief market strategist.  From there Jon opened and managed one of the largest branches of Raymond James in the country - winning numerous rewards and recognitions.

Jon later transitioned in life, and went on to receive his Masters in Education. Having taught in the New York City Public School System and the Freeport Public Schools, Jon is now teaching and writing curriculum in the Great Neck School District.
